Whitegate Drive
Subway Whitegate Drive opened in February 2008. Following the continued success of the Clifton Street store, Phil felt it was was time to expand his business further by opening a second Subway franchise.
The store is situated on a busy "A" road and a popular route in and out of Blackpool. The store is surrounded by many businesses such as solicitors, salons, medical centres, and is next door to a busy Tesco Express store. Lunchtimes can get quite hectic and noisy with the students from the nearby college, who frequent the store at lunch. The store is proving a success, and leaves Phil feeling hopeful about the future of his business as he explores further business expansion opportunities.
The Whitegate Drive store has a large office and a training room, which serves as head office and the main training centre for both the Whitegate Drive and Market Street stores.
Market Street
Just two months after the Yates' fire destroyed his Clifton Street store, Subway Franchisee Phil opened another town centre store. There is now a Subway on Market Street, next door to the popular Brannigans bar. This was some achievement within the short amount of time and it didn't come without its difficulties. After a £450,000 investment, the new store opened in November 2009 with help from Re-Blackpool, town centre management, and friends and family. Phil is ever so grateful and is happy he can bring to you a much needed town centre based Subway store.
